I worked 70 hours per week for an employer in the 1960s in order to buy a house without kitchen or heating system. 100% Government Grant enabled me to get that first house split into two and modernised. Now legally no employee is allowed to work more than 48 hours per week and even Warmfront Grants are highly restricrive.
I agree that there is no divine right for everyone to own a house, but it is extremely worrying when those on middle incomes, the people who actually run the country cannot own a property.
