"Gov'ts worried about immigration due to population migrations driven by climate impacts,"

I think you would find that if state handouts were stopped completley for immigrants, then a massive amount would not be coming here.

"the survival (of the fittest) is an instinct that is naturally inherent"

Perhaps your above statement is one thing we can gain from some of the immigrants. After all Western women would not be capable of ovulation if living in the harsh conditons that many would be immigrant woman now exist and breed in.

So perhaps with their bodies being more geared up to extreme hardship, they will be the only ones left to populate this green and pleasent land once we become a dry sun baked terrain. Face it, they are already having a good 'trial' run.

My own position on the subject is quite different and I feel the whole 'mankind' is creating global warming thing is overdone.

And whilst I agree with your "the survival (of the fittest) is an instinct that is naturally inherent". My own reaction to that would be pull up the drawbridge now, whether or not global warming is our doom, and look after our own people first and foremost. I feel over breeding / overpopulating is far more likely to be our down fall, with or without global warming.

Surely self preservation, selfish though it may be, is the most basic natural instinct?
