Angel spoke about the new world order and the environment.

In my opinion the Environment is the biggest issue of our generation, not whether we can pick our GDP up a few %.

The environment is life or death to us as a race. We have no where else to go. We're like bacteria in a petri-dish, we grow and grow and grow until there is nothing left and we are killed by our own $%^&!

So my question is why are politicians not willing to stand up and talk about the real issue which is population growth.

They talk about reneable energy and reduction in the use of fossil fuels. They talk about using genetic modication for increased food production and about building more houses.

But why won't they tackle the ROOT CAUSE, that there are just too many of us!

Politicians have no control over World population, other than in China with their "one child" rules. As for the Environment, there were many voices raised as oil was discovered that using fossil fuel for energy could produce unexpected results as it was wholly unnatural. Just as with the obvious health dangers of mobile phone usage it was totally dismissed by all Governments - purely for reasons of private and Corporate profit ...

It could be argued that our education system is failing a proportion of the population.

I would argue this, with league tables and targets schools ignore the extremes of intelegance and concentrate on the average.

We need a system that takes care of everybody and allows the to fulfill the best of there potential !

This same dilemma of the "lower orders" "over breeding" has been a concern of many people for hundreds of years.

Personally I have to say that I am not worried.

People that have ambition will always try to better themselves.

That's why I am very much in favour of things like the Housing Association and right to buy, etc.

Let me ask you: have you ever met/ done business with anyone that came from a poor background and did well for themselves?

If so, where did they send their own kids to school?

Being born in a swamp does not necessarily make you a frog.

Sim you are so very right.

We could start to address the problem by not paying for people to have children. If they have them they can pay for them, end of!!

Suddenly small families will be much more popular.
I hear many scream out loud" the poor kids are going to suffer!!". My answer:-" well someone is going to suffer, now lets think hard and clear how we, the parents, are going to finance the education, health and housing of the sprogs, BEFORE we get down to conception activity!

Yes Sim, the planet is suffering from a plague of human beings, and it ain't fair on the other species!!

Perhaps we could take all the kids off single parents and send them to Oz to work in labour camps !

Perhaps we could start by curbing immigration and put our own house in order. We, as a British nation were doing quite well, with our average of 2.4 children before we let the fast-breeders in.

Now, the true Brits must feel, why should we limit the amount of children we have, for the Gov only will 'make up the numbers' from all four corners of the earth.

Ruination of this country.
