Technology behind the new ID cards, something like the technology behind reading number plates on moving cars, lots of data collected to verify. So the forehead measurement is vital to determine the profile of the face, distance between eyes.etc. If you only select 7 pieces of data out of 49 as in the lottery, then chances of a similar match (Lotto) are 14 million to one, so that suspect can be pulled for more critical examination.
There is a similar proposal for ATMs for facial rcognition or by hand.
If the population were asked to have a mark on their forehand or back of their hand before they could trade goods, there would indeed be lamentations and shouting about "revelation prophecies". But then the authoritative book on the NWO does say that it will come like a "thief in the night"

PS Erh as you are the semi-resident expert on the bible and a personal contact with you know who, just a question for you. I recently watched QI repeat (the fountain of all real knowledge - well it's a laugh at times anyway) and the most learned man in the world ( lol ) S Fry declared that the number of the beast is not 666 but 616, apparently there was an early translation mistake - can you please confirm this and if it is correct why hasn't god said something earlier? Please none of that he works in mysterious ways. You'd think he'd want us to know the right number afterall it's caused a lot of confusion particularly with numbering roads!!!

The prophecies in the book of Isaiah are spot on, even down to the way Jesus would have to suffer on the cross.

But your bible is a translation from the original Jewish isn't it? Do you ever wonder if the various translations are wholey accurate. I'm not questioning your faith in your deity rather your faith in an accurate translation of the bible - how do you you know it hasn't been changed either by mistake or intensionally? Don't different versions have variations in what's translated at least via interpretation.

I'll try to find a source - numbers are important you know!!

I honestly try not to get too hung up with the different translations of the bible (mine is the NIV). The most important question to life is "Do you know Christ as your personal Saviour?" I came into a loving relationship with God when I accepted His unmerited gift to mankind (Jesus) and was born again of the Spirit of God. God is very real and only you can have that personal encounter yourself when you come to Him just as you are and acknowledge what He done for you on the cross and that you need a Saviour.

My life changed when I accepted Christ and His Holy Spirit came to live within my heart.... once you know the truth it will set you free.

I know you wouldn't use an alias because you are one of the most decent people I have ever met on these boards. I have been accused of same thing time and time again. I would never use an alias when posting about my faith because it would be deceitful.

I can understand you saying that because it was pretty vague to me before I had the born again experience. Once you have an indwelling of the Holy Spirit, God's word becomes alive to you and you can understand what is written in the bible.

Devices have been and will be implanted.

This does not mean that these WILL BE the mark of the beast.

But it does mean that they need to be regulated, calibrated, registered and managed within the health care framework.

I am sorry to disappoint you with my post but I would like to state that my belief is not based on fear but love. When you come to know God as your loving Father you find out what life is all about. We were all created to have a loving relationship with God but due to the fall of man and sin coming into the world we cut ourselves off from God. That is why He sent His son into the world to die for us so we could be reconciled back to Him.

My relationship with God is wonderful and knowing Him is better than anything the world could ever offer you. I know 100% that I will be spending an eternity with Him when I pop my cloggs. You have that assurance when you have been born again spiritually and the Holy Spirit comes to live within your heart.

The most important decision any person will EVER have to make in this life is whether they accept or reject God's gift to mankind.... Jesus.

I am giving you and all the lads the best news they could ever here..... look for the imperishable not the perishable. Seek and you will find the truth for yourself and it will set you free.

I am an Angel come to bring you all the good news..... sometimes me wings get a bit dorty yee knaa but me heart is sincere.

The Yanks have got themselves in another muddle with this Health Bill - a) The lobby of the huge Private Hospitals and Health Insurance Cos is enormous - they do not want anything like this due to profits and b) A National Health Service like ours to Americans smells of SOCIALISM.
