housing shortage

Is anybody surprised there is a chronic shortage of housing when we have a bunch of incompetent half wits in power, They have let 4 million people settle here since they were elected, where did they think they were going to live in tents? Stop these immigrants coming here we are full up.

Well said Bernie. Lou and no doubt thousands of others really nice kind people who are still in denial, blame anything and anybody, but for God's sake don't blame the foreigners.
Next the denial crowd will say it is our fault that the jails are full to bursting with foreigners. What I say to them is, get your head out of the financial pages once in a while and read the names of the criminals (if you can prounounce them) commiting the majority of most terrible crimes. Proportionally, of the populace, most will not be Smith, Green, or Jones.
Problem is, MPs are spineless when it comes to telling our own people the truth, let alone dare accuse a foreigner (unless of course they are an illegal immigrant, then they can 'almost' get away with it).
No wonder the people who have NO choice but to live amongst these people are forced to consider the BNP.
Our country over the Centuries has suffered famine, poverty, boom and bust, disease and of course the most awful wars with devasting bombings etc, yet with these events, time eventually (for the nation, not always for the individual) healed all.
However with the fast breeding immigration population, time will only make it worse. The final, irreversable ruination of our small, and what could have been, with our own average of 2.4 children, a very pleasent land to have bought them up in.
After all, is that not what our Grandparent and beyond fought for? Not as a refuse tip for the worlds unwanted. Seems to me they died in vain thanks to our politicians.
I don't blame the immigrants for coming, they would be daft not to, so it is the kindly, yet soft, weak brainwashed public and our leaders who should be, and perhaps one day will be ashamed. It is however, very hard to admit you are wrong when you are seemingly doing a kind act.
Like the little old lady with a small house, tiny income looking after 50 cats and 30 dogs all living in a terrible condition, she THINKS she is doing the right thing and genuinely loves them, but she is not seeing the bigger picture.
So I guess we should see our Gorden Brown or Tony Blair as that little old lady, well meaning yet totally wrong!

B S you are so right. I agree with all you wrote, except I'm not at all sure about your last short paragraph (Brown and Blair).
Immigration is no longer the main problem, it is proliferation.
Just like Swine Flu it can storm a nation, and from the vantage point of Leicester it clearly is. Middle Eastern dress code, Veils, and seven or more kids (the aim is not to waste an ovulation - get it fertilised!!), mopping up vast quanities of family tax and child credit, to say nothing of housing, health and education. Yes the british ( overwelmingly the true indiginous british) are paying for this.
It is clearly a matter of a short time ( economic downturn being the trigger) before it all kicks-off.
No I do not believe any more than 5% have any loyalty to the Britain (except economic), and a whole load want sharia law ( which is now openly being considered by politicians).
So we best watch out!! A
Apparantly it's not very PC to discuss such a subject!!

Dont single out the muslims - Ban all religion, seize assets, sell land and buildings off to developers or convert directly into social housing. Kill two birds with one stone. Its time civilized societies left this folklore mumbo jumbo behind.

All this vaguely rascist business needs a proper answer to this simple question. Say youhave a highly trained and experienced consultant surgeon working in the NHS who happens to be of Indian origin and who is British ... and you have a white English born gormlous skinhead bigot, living in Milton Keynes, a member of the BNP, who has no interests at all apart from Football and watching Sky all day every day. Who is the most worthwhile citizen of the UK?

Louis why do you call it racist when the people of this country ask questions about this governments immigration policys, last nights(friday) newsnight on BBC2 run a report on a state funded school that taught nothing but hate(check it out for yourself)who really are the racists, if you or me or anyone else on these boards started to teach or print what this school was doing we would be locked up, and down there in bournemouth do you really know what is happening to large parts of this country the answer i think is no(how many of your neighbours are from foreign shores) so when people question the immigration policys of this government dont call them racists they are just concerned and worried where these uncontrolled immigration policys of the government are leading.

I understand immigration is limited I believe it is 8 percent and that does not alter. I understand the Tories were wrong about those two schools and anyway most from other shores here in the UK are from former Colonies of ours therefore have a strong link to the UK. In fact I worked in Southall, I found it quite charming to be in the midst of a sort of dislocated Indian sub country with the Sari shops, Indian food shops and bilingual road signs. So immigration is tightly controlled. Also I lived and worked in Libya which has many other Nationals (not connected with Libya) - British, American, Polish, Swedish, Sidanese, Egyptians, Koreans, the (then) Yugoslavians, Italians and many others. They seemed to have no problem with it at all. My neighbours although wealthy, are Chinese.

It is not so much the "PC" content of your ideas, but the stupidity of them, that is offensive.

Plenty of Poles are heading home, but all this shortage = higher prices stuff is just myth.
If it were true, prices would still be rising significantly. House prices are related to the ability to pay, which is based on the availability and price of credit.

House prices are rising due to one reason. On estates, historically people move on average every 7 years - to move up, to get some equity out (lots), just on a whim - normally by the wife (.... new bathrooms/kitchens), for image. All that has gone - people are "recessionalised" - staying put, no money, averse to bigger mortgages, in negative equity, etc. So far less property on the market, demand strengthens - prices up ...

Louise,
"historically people move on average every 7 years - to move up, to get some equity out (lots), just on a whim - normally by the wife (.... new bathrooms/kitchens), for image. "
I'm detecting just the teeniest hint of a theme here combined with your persistent posts on the divorce rate.
Could it be the former Mrs Superstar DJ was a bit of a nag in the new kitchen, new car, new bathroom department and eventually got pissed off with the family £250k pile, old chitty and your "unusual" views then left you for a credit card salesman?
Just a thought, I could be completely wrong and you live at home with your mum.

Louise's "interesting" views having been shown to be tripe too many times for him to take, he seems to have to hide.
He'll post tripe but can't take it when it's shown to be the case - it probably started with old chitty but perhaps it's because I've a long memory and force him to remember his tripe when he later lies about it. lol.
Ho hum I'll just continue to show his posts up and he can continue to put his fingers in his ears or his hands over his eyes....and to think I took the trouble to defend his right to be our village idiot. ;-)
